Spontaneous fasting goes on just as it sounds. You do not have to follow a structured plan for intermittent fasting to reap some of its benefits. Another option is to simply skip meals from time to time, for example when you are not feeling hungry or too busy to cook and eat. However, some people eat every few hours so that they do not go into a state of starvation or lose muscle. Other people's bodies are well equipped to handle long periods of starvation and may miss one or two meals from time to time. You know yourself best. So if you really are not hungry one day, skip breakfast and just eat a healthy lunch and dinner. Or, if you travel somewhere and do not find something you want to eat, maybe you can make a short fast. Skipping one or two meals when you feel the urge to do so is basically a spontaneous intermittent fast. The Kickstart Team
